If you would have asked me in the fall of 2011 what 2012 was going to be like for The Blantons, I would have told you that it was going to be awesome.  2012 was going to be the year that we bought our first house, in our dream town of Chapel Hill.  We were finally going to trade in Southey’s old truck for a minivan, which we’d be able to afford because we’d both have 9 to 5 jobs.  We’d save up money and maybe, possibly start thinking about getting pregnant, you know, near the end.
Then October 21, 2011 happened.  We had to rearrange priorities.  We won’t be able to buy a house, and even our rental house probably won’t be in Chapel Hill.  The truck will have to last us a few more years.  Workwise, I’m not sure what we’ll be able to afford to do.  Because 2012 will be the year we welcome our second child, and if you ask, I’m still going to tell you that 2012 is going to be awesome.
